IGES ICS-CDM Regional Training of Trainers for CDM Project Development in Indonesia.
On 27-29 November 2006, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Japan, the State Ministry of Environment, Carbon and Environmental Research Indonesia (CER Indonesia) collaborated to organize a seminar and training (Regional Training of Trainers for CDM Project Development in Indonesia) at Inna Simpang - Surabaya. Topics raised in these activities is about local government policies to support the development of CDM projects, the identification of potential projects, and training in the process of preparation of the project document.
The purpose of this training include training of trainers discuss obstacles and solutions for the development of CDM policies in Indonesia, to understand the policies of each sector in supporting the implementation of the CDM in the energy and forestry sectors in Indonesia, to understand the programs and policies that are relevant to local government activities CDM, and identify projects and potential CDM project developers. In addition, the event was also used as an opportunity to exchange ideas between the government, private sector, researchers, consultants and NGO / NGOs to discuss the development of CDM in Indonesia associated with supporting regulations and implementation of CDM in Indonesia.
Participants involved in training seminars and is derived from the element East Java Provincial Government, City Government of Surabaya, East Java Province Government Office (Department of Health, Office of Energy and Mineral Resources), The Academician (Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Institute of Technology, Faculty of Engineering Airlangga University), Institute researchers, some state-owned company (PLN East Java, Pertamina UPMS - V, PT. PKG, PT. Semen Gresik) private companies and NGOs.
