The World's Top Development Banks Would Increase the Climate Change Fund
Bogor, October 12, 2015
The world's top development banks have pledged to increase their funding to reduce the impact of climate change. Target of $ 100 billion a year is the amount that has been promised rich nations to be transferred to developing countries before 2020.
The promise was stated when the finance ministers met in Lima, Peru, on Friday (10/09/15), less than two months before the climate conference in Paris that considered very important that the global warming will be stopped.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius called the decision is "positive results" and expects the international community to fulfill the promise of $ 100 billion made in the 2009 climate talks in Copenhagen.
